Redarc in a 2012 SR5 3 L

Howdy, Ive searched, can some one let me know if they are using a Redarc 1225D for their 2nd battery charger and solar input, and if they are, did they have to connect any additional trigger wires (ignition?) for control to get a full charge?
thanks

I have a volt meter on mine and it has never dropped below 13.6 volts but have never driven it in hot climates over 40 degrees.
I opted for a lv variant just in case I moved it to my next vehicle. The duel input wasnt around then.

From what I can see the hilux has a temperature variable alternater, not a smart alternater, and an ignition trigger isn’t required?

Check the redarc spec sheet for turn on and turn off voltages.
My voltage never drops below 13.6 but I dont know how low it will go in extreem heat.
