It might be worth getting a 3" exhaust for a start, it will boost your turbo by removing any restriction. That's the first thing to try, then if you feel the need, consider an ecu tune instead of the chip. There's not much price difference and the tune will do much more than an add-on chip. The exhaust will help no matter what else you do.
It's worth looking at a Bluetooth OBD2 scanner because it's able to be used with your mobile phone and gives you real-time readings of temp, boost and heaps of other stuff right there on your phone.
