Hi all just thought i'd post up my rig and what i've done since i bought it. Its a 2014 SR D4D 5sp Auto.

I live and work in Canberra and try my best to get away as often as possible. Most popular trip is probably Snowy Mountains day trips but my favourite would have to be the Moreton, Bribie and Glasshouse trip i did in December 2017.

Bit of a mods list for anyone curious.

First major mods were the TJM bullbar and a set of mud tyres. These were King wheels and Federal Couragia MTs (i think). Noisiest tyres ive owned to date!

My previous setup in action on Moreton Island. Loved the swag and awning/awning tent setup but i dont think i'd go back after having the rooftop tent.

Ditched the Patrol Wheels and 33s for some FJ Cruiser wheels with 32s (almost). These are a good offset (+15) for 33s in the future and look a bit nicer too. Always wanted a set and luckily stumbled across a full set of 5 with tyres :D

I have also been playing around with ideas for a new tent mount and canopy. I've seen a few recently that i really liked and decided to do some mock ups. Now i just need to learn how to weld and stitch!

Headed out to the hills sunday to test the new wheels/tyres. Lots of fun and performed surprisingly well for road tyres.

Decided to go back to some 33s for the FJ wheels. Ended up going with Hankook Dynapro MT as they had some good reviews and were a great price. Took it out for a test in the Snowy Mountains over the weekend and was really happy with how they performed. Crazy amounts of sloppy mud on a section of track about 10km long made for a perfect testing ground :P

A few other things ive done recently is remove the ARB rear step bar and switch back to the standard towbar. After getting hung up 3 times in the bush it was time to ditch the land anchor :D It looked good and served some purpose for us but overall there were more cons than pros.

I also removed the headboard from the tub to allow the tent to sit a little further forward. It has made the front side of the tent more accessible for setting up and packing away, plus it looks much cleaner.

While modifying the tub and moving the tent i had a friend come in and make a steel canopy frame to eventually be covered in canvas. I was hoping to have it done for our christmas holiday but that wont be happening due to some ridiculous quotes for the canvas work    I will chase it up further in the new year but for now the current setup is still great and even more so now with some tiny tweaks.

So i abandoned the canvas canopy idea after coming across this custom alloy canopy. Have had it fitted up for a month or so now. Few more little things to do but very happy with the setup now.

Added a fixed solar panel to the flat rack for some extra charging power and to act as a bit of a wind deflector for the tent now that it's considerably higher than before.

Made some small modifications to the canopy. Added perspex to the front wall and side doors to keep the weather out. Cut a section of the front floor out to make a door/false floor and also added some camping lights.

Moved the fridge from the back seat to a Proper Waeco slide in the canopy. Frees up heaps of space in the cab and makes it easier to access.

Some photos of it all in use. Much more efficient space-wise and less rummaging around to try and find stuff. Makes for some pretty epic views with the tent up higher too! :D

Snapped one of the BCF awning brackets on the road to the north side of Tantangara Reservoir. Used a ratchet strap to get us home and put the word out on instagram for a replacement. Luckily a local guy had a spare one so we're ready to go for the weekend coming.

Replaced the standard rear shocks with some KYBs to match the front. Have also ordered some heavier leafs as we're carrying a bit of extra weight and the EFS comfort leafs are a bit saggy/flat now.

Made up an adjustable bracket for the solar panel. Probably could have bought one ready made for the price i paid for materials but there's something a little more satisfying about doing it yourself.
