Choosing correct cables for 12volt setup

Choosing correct cables for 12volt setup

Postby jabiru18 on Thu, 28 Jun 2018 8:50 +0000

Hi,
I am having trouble working out what cable to use/buy for hooking things up to my Aux battery.

Baintech Fuse Box - What cable do I need for the positive and negative to connect to battery? Fusebox will be on top of battery.

Worklights - Cable i should use, from AUX battery to switch to lights.

Fridge - Cable ?

Thanks.

Depends a bit.

I just had a look at this one for reference:

Given you proximity to the battery it probably doesnt need to be to heavy but you'd be very safe with a bit of 6 b&s to both pos and neg.

To fridge, assuming in the tub / tray, 4 b&s, but if you've already bough the 6 b&s just use that as well.

Lights depends on the draw but again I reckon 6mm auto should be ok.
