Gulfstream8 wrote:Might be just another "Internet Rumour" but have read that some or all replacement H7 LED's can put strain on your eyes and can make you tired while driving at night. The rumour goes that compared to dedicated factory Led headlights the LED replacement H7's some or all cannot operate at a high enough frequency to prevent eye strain.
LEDs operate on a frequency and switch on and off very fast so your eyes cannot see it, however the more expensive stuff like factory LEDs headlights operate at a very high frequency so they cannot even be detected switching on and off via a slow motion camera. From what I understand small Led bulbs like the ones used in tail lights or brake lights operate at around 30hz and with a slow motion camera they flicker a lot and this is what can make you very tired driving at night if they were in your headlights.
Anyway might be worth getting your phone and slow motion video your LED headlights and seeing if this is happening.
