The scoops look like photo chop. Different angles and in lays.

What you see as "inlays" is the protection plastic stuck to it pre delivery. I didn't take pics of others where it's left on, should have [emoji52]

non bonnet scoops on the 2.8's look a bit better in my view, however the 3l still has top mount so needs the air flow.

Any inside pictures mate?

I will drop by a dealer and get more pix and details. Did look inside, top model has a display.
I just saw these showing up all of a sudden everywhere. Is the 2.8 new, I know that much. [emoji6]

It's entirely possible that Asian market doesn't flow to Australia. The pix are LHD model to start with.

I will see RHD model soon enough [emoji3]

another much needed feature we didn't get in Australia but Thailand has is the rear air con vents. mate in Thailand has the top of the range hilux there and has way better luxury items. including manual dpf switch.

I have also seen the rear tailgate with locks / key feature incorporated into the chrome handle part.

The photo of the grey ute shows the aftermarket led driving lights surrounding the fog lamps. This says something about the owner of this car, it makes you see the letter box as aftermarket.
The white ute looks like it has a cloth or something over the bonnet?
Either way I think this massive difference in appearance would have appeared somewhere in the Aust auto media world by now if it was about to come out here.
I have a 2017 car ordered and my dealer said expect no difference in appearance (but he did not sound absolutely certain...). :?

I'm not sure how you have your screen set up but in my case I have the home screen set up with 3 panels so on the left I have 2 1/4 panels showing the distance to empty and fuel consumption and 4 phone shortcuts and on the right I have the audio panel - to me that makes good use of the screen area.

Obviously it would be nice to have GPS on the screen as well but for that you need the SR5 model and I couldn't get a SCC in that grade.

Im looking into alternatives to the factory sat nav as i was quoted $1400 to put it in the SR!! And the sr5 variant only runs the crapola whereis maps which are supposed to be aweful in country areas.

So far the Witson S160 for 2016 hilux looks great.. about $500 AU
With a good instructional and review from a bloke in SouthAfrica. Runs Android, standalone navigation and access to google maps etc through apps, browser, roadcams.. everthing really and OEM looking to boot.

Anybody here had experience with these?

Interesting to see the overseas model has a sliding back window. I wonder how much it would cost to have one of these back windows shipped over.

Too bad you lose the DAB function with that Android unit. Probably not a huge loss considering how often I lose signal and have to switch to FM anyway.

Make sure to post results if you get one.

I would most likely never buy anything from alibaba, most of the stuff on the site is quite crap, and you get what you pay for also.
