Just to give you a different perspective as has been pointed out above when you get the vehicle the SD card with the map data on it can already be 12 months old & you have to purchase a new SD card to get the latest updates & from what I have seen you will be lucky to get another one may be two years apart & the biggest killer of the Toyota sat nav is they want approximately $350.00 from spare parts for a new SD card. ( They are bloody joking

I purchased a Garmin screen mounted 3D sat nav for $350.00 it leaves the Toyota unit for dead, I get lifetime maps at least four per year & software updates all for FREE for LIFE also has live FM traffic updates included all free plus a host of other great features. Toyota would be better off if they provided a sat nav that we could put in our own SD card with what ever system individual drivers use, do not hold your breath that will not happen any time soon.
