I'm considering fitting lockers and currently researching all the options available up here in FNQ.
Easiest and cheapest option is to go Air Lockers but I don't want to fit an air compressor etc.
I also subscribe to the KISS principle, the simplest method is "usually" the most reliable.
So, E-lockers, in my case, is the way to go.
3 possible suppliers up here are OL, Terrain Tamer (Cape York Automotive) and Ironman.
Checked Ironman's current catalogue and didn't find the e-lockers listed. Thought I'd delve a little deeper and have a look at Harrop's dealer listing. Ironman are no longer a "preferred" supplier.
I emailed Harrop to ask the question if this was correct. They actually rang me back and told me that they had "issues" with the arrangement they had with Ironman and no longer rebrand it as an Ironman product. He did say that Ironman can still source and supply the Harrop E-locker however it's no longer a preferred dealer. He wouldn't elaborate any further. (Not sure if this was discussed in any other threads, just thought I'd add this info)
Anyway, after all that I had emailed all three suppliers up here and the quickest and most informative reply was from Cape York Automotive who also have a diff specialist on staff that does the fitting. (OL and Ironman didn't even reply! Not a good sign in my books!)
I will more than likely go with them, just have to decide to go for R or F&R. A lot of coin though. Might just try the rear and see how it goes!
