You are looking at around $100-$150 just for a simple dyno run on a Dyno Dynamics Dyno.
No need to put it in 4x4 and in fact I wouldn't as this will use HP to drive. If it's manual use a 1:1 gear like forth (on the new 6 speeds I think this is now 5th) autos use 3rd - and yes they can lock it in gear via the OB11 port. Use a standard tyre pressure like 40psi in the drive wheels and remember this for next time. Strap it down - while it's not going to set any records most Utes are very light in the back end and 4x4 tyres are hard and have bugger all grip on a Dyno.
But any good operator will know what to do and they should do as above - if not go somwhere else.
Anyway your one of the few sensible people doing a Dyno run before and after doing a mod to a very expensive engine. Some of these chips are very poor quality and have not been tested throughly and I'm suprised by the number people strapping one of these things to their pride and (expensive) joy without any Dyno testing.
FYI
Dyno Testing is the best insurance for your engine as it proves so many things like some products will make more power to the detriment of your engine ----- others you find out just don't make any more power or make better fuel economy and are a scam like the Hiclone (ACCC finally caught up with them and slapped them with a $250,000 fine!)
If your in Sydney I highly recommend Advan Performance.
