Acknowledging that I have a 2013 not 2016 model, but it should install the same, I got the local welding shop to make me up a aluminium box which was installed under the tray, with the compressor fitting coming out next to the rear licence plate; I got Enzed to supply the fittings rather than the ARB ones as it gave me much better options for accessories. I would highly recommend this solution, it is out of the way and I haven't had any issues after travelling through many water crossings and a lot of off-roading around the country. I made a hole for the filter, so that sits outside the box so the compressor gets plenty of fresh air; it was a bit of a hassle to design and I would probably make it a bit different next time, but it only cost me less than $100 to be made and its been working without fault for over three years now. Having it mounted outside the cabin means that it is also very convenient for pumping up everything from blow up pools to bicycle tyres when its parked at home.
