LPG gas system - Fridge, BBQ's

Postby Phil675 on Tue, 12 Apr 2016 7:32 +0000

Hi guys, I have a dual fuel V6 Lux.
Just an idea, is anyone running a gas fridge or BBQ from the main engine LPG tank. My tank can take up to 58 litres on fill up.
I was thinking of plumbing a couple of extra outlets into the line to power a Gas/12v/240v fridge and potentially a double ring burner.
I'm not sure it's legal so I put it out there for your opinions.

More than doable but very illegal. You'll be told the butan propane/butane mix is different but have seen it work.

You can do it but flame temperature will be lower due to the blended gasses. Auto lpg also contains a lubricant that can block jets after time.
