I have a 2012 SR5 and fitted BfGoodrich Km2'sthe front left hand one was rub, but only when it turned to the left. I think long time ago. had a 2'' Old Man Emu lift done to it.I hope that would have fixed it but, it did not fix it. Spoke with Duncan from Macquarie 4X4 Centre at Vineyard NSW. it is near Windsor. They had done the lift.
He is very knowledgeable person. we spoke about different things and he told me that some of the cures could create more problems, and they might not also, every 4wd and car for that matter are made to tollerances and mind was in them. when they done the wheel alignment they set it as far as they could to a negative as they could. when on road test the steering was a bit light and it would not hold track. eg you could not steer it using one finger. he explain the science about it, I could tell he knew his stuff from my own learning's about the subject.
if I was not happy he said he would install castor corrector at cost if I wanted to, but he thought I would be wasting my money, it was up to me. $450 supplied and fitted on both sides and including the wheel alignment that they send out of shop for.
I asked him what did he propose that would fixe it then. I still wanted the mud flaps left on, as I took them off and it stopped the rubbing but mud was coming up in between sill and side steps and spraying all over the doors.
Duncan show me where the wheels were rubbing and explain it was only while I was turning and it was on the inside of the of the mud flaps and he could cut a little bit out of the mud flap, just pass the rub point while still keeping the integer of the made flap in tack. It worked a treat and happy as Larry.
I have been going to Macquarie 4X4 Centre now for a while, This is my 4th, 4wd now that they have fitted out and have always got good advice and service. It has always what is best quality and cheapest that would suit my needs, not the most expensive bit of equipment that they could sell me. I live in the Hunter Valley NSW at a place called Cessnock. I have to travel over 2 hours to them. They correct the mistakes on my first 4wd and, from different places, and I have noticed that those shop are not in business any more. I use to live near them when I first found them, and have travelled to see them all the time.
P.s. They also are cheaper than the shop near me. I hope this is a help, sorry for the long reply
