I'll hold you to that one man haha

Went and had a look yesty Arvo to see what was goin, plug was only just on the sensor making no contact with the pins... Tried to clip it back on but not enough length because they cable tied my engine harness to the engine mount causing it to pull against engine movements, also when the sensor was unplugged originally id say it's been done with a screwdriver and it's busted the locking tab, plug won't even stay on there... New sensor will be here tomorrow thank f$&k

Re: BAT091 LUX - SUSPENSION HELP !!!

Postby BAT091 on Fri, 02 Nov 2012 8:14 +0000

Need some advice....

Ripped out the ironman suspension from the front of my ute tonight and fitted the top hats to the a cal offroad kit.. Problem is the bottom of my coil don't seem to be seating properly, and if I do knock it over with a soft faced hammer the whole spring the looks like a banana... The middle setting is what I was told to run by cal offroad and that's where I set the circlip... I've enclosed some photos of the spring seating so you can see what I'm whining about... Any help would be great

See how it sits over the edge of the seat

Naa the spring and the strut are straight as a die, they are a heavy duty spring though and I did have to compress them a long way to get them to the same height as the strut... I'm hoping they will settle in after a bit of a drive

Re: BAT091 LUX - NEW STUFF...

Postby BAT091 on Sun, 04 Nov 2012 4:36 +0000

So after my last limp mode ordeal I had another one not long after, this time it was the plug broken on the suction control valve on the pump. Anyway raided one from an engine at work and all was and still is sweet, Thank god that is over...

Since the rebuild i fitted an outback roof console + gme tx3510 80ch UHF, steinbauer chip, Sprintbooster, 3" cal offroad suspension kit, sold the a-sure head unit and fitted an el cheapo Sony unit till I decide what I want, a primary 2 micron fuel filter and also have a Provent seperator to fit aswell, relocated the compressor to the under seat compartment in the rear and have an air outlet either side at the front under the tray..

This thing fitted with the chip and booster is unreal, I love it, such a joy to drive now and no more shuffling
gears for hills it just pulls up like no tomorrow..

Future plan is too build a canopy, getting ready for next years cape trip,I wanted a gullwing but after my last couple of months spending I doubt it, leaning towards a canvas canopy with lockable doors and maybe a hard roof to mount the RTT and awning. See what happens

Here's some pics..

Nice bud, surprised you've had time, every time i head up to lake st clair your parked at the firies shed latly.

Btw if your put a hard alloy top on your canopy will probly work out cheaper then canvas roof. I paid $30 a sheet for 1mm alloy sheets 2400x1800 2 for the roof and 1 for the front 8-)

Yea the good ol RFS... Farkn busy put it that way lol

Thanks man, I'm honestly not a fan of hard roofed canvas Canopys but it comes down to what is practical in the end.. And cost plays a factor too I guess ha
