Medium. Rides really well. but drops like a son of a bitch when I load the excavator onto its trailer even with stabilizer arms out.
But when I get the canopy I might put in the helpers to beef up the rear end with the extra weight. I have a mate who also has airbags on medium springs as well. He isnt that impressed by them and wants to take them out. Might get them cheaper LOL. And give them a try first.

David Allen,
I fitted the BOSS airbags because the Polyair ones were not spoken very highly of on this site.
I am currently touring around Oz and when I return home I will unload all these toys and will probably not need the extra load carrying capacity therefore would not need an extra leaf in the rear springs.
With the air bags I can adjust the lift depending on the load simply by altering the air pressure.
I am currently running 40PSI in them..

so when you get the canopy why would you put airbags instead of an extra leaf in
Concern about airbags that I have is that you loose abit of the wheel travel when you go 4X4ing and also they are airbags that put pop if a rock or something sharp hits them
mark also do you have the front 883 or 884's

What OME rear did you get (heavy duty or medium)
How do you pump the boss airbags up. Do you have to do it through an air pump or is it set up to do it from the inside of the vehicle

Have you noticed any probs with the bags
eg loosing wheel travel, air leaking etc

I do regret not buying the heavy rears and removing the leaf. As it costs no more to buy the heavy from new but it costs $140 a side to add it afterwards plus labour. If I had know this I would have definately gone this way and added the leaf myself at a later date. I am aware that the airbags limit travel upwards and is another reason why I am thinking about not putting them in. The ones I have offered "cheap" are the Poly air that my mate is unhappy with.
I have added extra weight with LR tank and now all my tools are in the tray on the RHS. To balance weight distribution. I will go down the line of extra leafs but this also does start to limit articulation as well. It is good though to have the adjustability of air bags, to fine tune the suspension.
I think the fronts are 884's due to winch and bullbar will look at OME sheet and get back to you.
I am thinking of getting the strut spacer to reset the front end to +45 mm.

ARB quoted me approx $200-$250 for adding an extra leaf to the med leafs.
They said around $45 a leaf + labour

Who quoted you $140 a side + labour, that way to expensive

I could have also been mixed up and it may have been $140 for both plus fitting but it was a long time ago. LOL Just checked the warranty sheet and they were 884s fitted to front.

its not a big cost to add an extra leaf, but you have to be sure it is the right decision.
I still have my doubts as during the week I drive the vehicle and its almost empty

David Allan,
I have had no problems with the BOSS airbags. I fill them with a foot pump via 2 valves at the back next to the number plate. I have not had any leaks. I fitted them myself in the driveway in about 4 hours.

Do you pump the 2 bags up at the same time or is it done one at a time.
Does the boss airbag pack come with the hose that you fitted towards the back where the number plate is, or did you put that in as an extra

Outward side at close to max. downward movement.

Inboard side at close to max. upward movement.

And a look at the back showing diff angle.
