Has to still work, after all your air con works fine at idle. I would have expected a linear relationship between output and RPM. Still a huge amount of air.

Was looking at a hand throttle, Rod did a bit of work on it. I dont want anything too dodgey though. He found 1 off around a 60 series cruiser. Not sure if they are available now but it might be able to be modified.
Just has a knob mounted on the dash somewhere and the other end fixes to the accelerator somewhere.

Unless you can rig up a mechanical connection to the pedal itself, you have to use an electronic device to modify the TPS voltage sent to the ECU. There are two sensor circuits (or is it 3?) for safety so you'd have to modify both.
It'd be a piece of cake for somebody with some electronic knowledge and a embedded controller like the Arduino which already has the voltage outputs.
