No 7 speed for the V6 diesel- the auto still has a max of 5 speed.

That is for the current diesel, the new V6 diesel has a 7speed auto only and there is no manual avilable in the V6 diesel. It is obvious the data base you are looking at is not up to date yet.

that should probably be 8 speed if you include reverse.

Unless you know more than whats been released to the media- the "Pathfinder" gets the 7 speed auto- updated in the database, BUT the Navara stays with 5 speed auto.

one way to keep the price down ;)

happy to stand corrected though when its released

You must not have seen any of the thread on the General forum or read any of the press releases for the Syd Motor show. It has been announced the Navara V6 diesel will be on sale here in late January. 170kw 550nm, 7 speed auto. called the ST-X 550 and a RRP od $60,990 So the data base is wrong.

I got mine on the central coast, the blokes in Newcastle didn't really seem to want the business.PM me if you would like the details - I am not sure what I am allowed to post about the experiences in the different yards on the forum!

You can post anything about your experiences with dealers, Im sure everyone would be interested good or bad. I went to Newcastle Toyota and like you said they weren't that interested, they gave me a crap trade in price, so I went to Maitland and they couldn't supply a vehicle tll the end of December so I ended up at Cessnock and got a pretty good deal and had to wait only 3 weeks.
