New Hilux 5 link suspension??!! WTF

Postby Balloontyres on Mon, 01 Dec 2014 2:30 +0000

I just see that the new Nissan Navara has the option to buy it with 5 link suspension! :o

if the new hilux will have this option also I will trade my current 2013 lux right away for the new Hilux model. Actually I would place order even without test driving it. But if not than I will keep driving my trusted 2013'er.

sh*t but Nissan don't offer the powerfull V6 anymore in the Navara that is too bad... I hope the Hilux will come with the 3.0 again! or improved 3,2 or something to beat the Ranger.

why would they not bring the 5 link to down under? are they totaly insane at Nissan?!

the 5 link would sell very well down under!

now we just have to hope for the Hilux to have a V6 and also 5 link suspension and the option to run 33 tyres without problems 8-)

If you want the 5 link option, you will need to purchase the new gen Fortuna.

Kluger is larger/roomier than existing Fortuner and more suited to larger families over 2 kids.

Existing Fortuner also has 3rd row seats but looks more cramped in there.

Fortuner sits 1-1.5" lower than current hilux and wheelbase is shorter too.

But you get the diesel option and selective 4x4 which on the Kluger is either FWD or AWD and V6 only.

Fortuner would be harder to fit larger rubber than hilux as the rear wheel arch forms the rear lower curve of back doors (if that makes sense) where with the hilux you have room to trim right around. (side effect of shorter wheelbase). Due to this it "looks" much smaller than a hilux.

Prado......over-rated in my opinion when the Kluger has more interior room. Only thing going for prado is D4D drivetrain if thats important.

Thanks max I need to upgrade the family car next year so I thought it could be an option.
I looked at prado but it's too much over my budget and the hilux is good enough for my 4wd ing and it fits the family and bikes etc.
so I'm looking at kluger
Then I read about fortuner

Thanks for info max

We test drove the Isuzu MUX, for the money it was quite good, probably comparable to the Fortuner.

And a chassis. And a transfer case.

That red nissan looks mint, shame manufacturers never sell them like that from the factory as like an offroad pack for ~7k more...

This is a RAV4 front and you can see how similar they look
So the other photo is probably right or at least really close as all car makers are looking to have a signature look
I think
