Got the recall letter last week (said it was the 3rd letter, but the first I actually got as the current owner) - booked it in with dealer and explained that I had had it fixed the month before the recall. One call to Toyota and all is fine, the dealer checked that the replacement part I had installed was correct - it was, and they are processing a refund for the cost of my third party fix.
Even if the pvt fix wasn't right Toyota said they would still make it right and refund the cost of the pvt fix, couldn't ask better than that. Thumbs up :}
