If that's what you want, you just buy the cyclonic head variation.

Just ordered my Denso from the local Toyota dealer for $523 incl GST. They wont fit it, as that is usually done by the PD department (pre-delivery). Also, lead time is two weeks as Toyota AUS is currently out of stock, so they have to come in from Japan. Two weeks that will take, but that is OK.

I will get the local OL or TJM guys to install it when I get my bullbar/canope/shocks/wheels/tyres installed.

Thanks for this thread and the part number, made it easy to order.

Sydney City Toyota has plenty in Stock.
Just message them on ebay.
$499 delivered or $474.90 when they have the 5% discount.
Ebay item number 291251473310 or just type denso snorkel into ebay search and its the first item showing.
They also fit them for $150 in their pre delivery section in Banksmeadow. Takes them approximately 1hr or so.
Cheers

when a dealer orders these they are supplied direct from denso takes bit longer to get.
some of the prices shown dealers have gotta be doing them for near cost!
got one of the filter head versions in stock that are more exxy than the ram head I'd do a good deal on

Boxhead55 - Have you fitted any of these to V6s at all?

Not doubting you saying that they will fit V6 but I've called Denso and the bloke insists it won't fit as the air boxes are on different sides even when diesel and petrol have their airboxes on drivers side...

Has to be incompetency on their behalf with lack of product knowledge. Even tried a few Toyotas and they've told me the same thing.

I've just put one on mine, it's true they are not a direct fit, but the only issue is where the snorkel meets the intake pipe, I got around it with silicone intercooler tubing, and i'll be fitting an aftermarket air box later.

The snorkel body itself fits with no problems.

I just updated my build page if you want pics.

To those who have this on their V6 - are the fuel savings similar to what people are seeing on their diesels?

Paying for one of these would be easier if I could justify it with fuel economy

My hilux fitted with 33's muddies, 3" lift, bullbar, and all the gear was getting about 450km to a tank, mind you its done 171,000km

Since fitting the denso snorkel, im able to achieve around 530-560km to a tank. awesome snorkel, deffiantly hear it sucking the air down when you put your foot to the floor :) :)

ebay has it for around $450- $480 delivered

My fuel economy hasn't changed since I got it.
Put denso snorkel on, no different. Put 3" exhaust on, no different.

Mine improved, i've only done a few hundred kays since, but based solely on the dash readings it's gone back to what I was getting when I had my 32" tyres, so 1-2lts/100km (hard to say exactly, because it's A/C weather now, and it shoots up when that's on)

Wasn't sure where to ask this question, I have a Denso snorkel - when the vehicle is idling why can I feel warm air being blown out of the snorkel head? Checked on my dad's which has a safari fitted - Same thing.
