Yeah, I looked at the $502 one on eBay, but they didn't offer returns or cover the item if it was damaged or lost in the post :? So I payed an extra $20 and got it locally :D

Boxy do you know what size the pillar Cap Screws are?

Mine have started to rust already!

Are you talking about the small tapered ones that go into the a pillar or the larger one that go into the snorkel?
The small one are 5mm. About 10mm long, I would recommend getting 15mm long as mine only did up about 2 threads, so had to loctite them.

It is a warranty issue man. Mine rusted as well got it covered under warranty. Then I clear coated the new ones.

Just installed the Denso snorkel today with a mate. Took us about two hours but we weren't hurrying. Thanks Boxhead for inspiring me to have a go at this. Used tin snips rather than hole saw. I love it so far.

The seals are great. When I start the engine I can put my hand over the ram head and feel the vacuum at idle. Now just waiting for the Mrs to notice...."Nah Honey, that's always been there..." B-)

I got my Denso snorkel fitted up yesterday. Took me awhile but it's by no means hard at all. Great kit and quality stuff. Although, my Mrs has asked me when we are going underwater with it. Thanks Boxhead for bringing these things to light, wouldn't have known about it otherwise.

You can get them from the dealership. Part numbers at the start of the thread. Some dealerships aren't up with it like my local one so I had to get one from ebay. Mine cam from Bathurst Toyota. Just search for "genuine hilux snorkel" and a few pop up normally. I paid 500 bucks with free postage to my door. Not bad.

Same for me. $502 on eBay Bathurst Toyota. I'm still in that stupid phase where I just want to drive around and grin like an idiot. It happens after every mod I do.

Yep, loving mine too Cavlux. Don't know why I waited 3 years to put one on but these things take time. :D

I can about 8.1 100km now was 8.8. But I do drive like a gran dad.
Intake air drooped in temp by 8 deg and there is not as much intake loss as the others on the market.

And it looks and fits like a gen toyota accessory should.

What's that air intake temp compared with Boxhead - IE No snorkel previously ? Safari previously ? Or ?
