While shopping around for performance kits came down to tunning boxs or Steinbauer P-Box (went with the steinbauer ) but as i had inquired the guys at Tunning box just sent me this article http://www.nzcarinfo.com/main/april2008news/april08_toyUKhilux.html

Yeah i quizzed him on his stats and he did say that you can expect at least 20% increase in HP & 15% torque
the 1KD-FTV engine in NZ starts with 126 Kw 3600 rpm & 343 Nm 3400 rpm(lower than on the table) he also made comment about our crappy fuel down this end of the world

tonka, what did you end up paying for your chip? No dramas with it? Genuine toyota sounds good, but probably a fair way off. cheers

I wonder if you could source this product through Toyota Australia?You wouldn't have to worry about warranty issues then??

Looks kind of similar to the Steinbauer product, in that it attaches to each injector. Not sure if would function in the same manner?

Dare devils, or those always on the hunt for more grunt might run this set up with a DP Chip or other fuel pressure based chip at the same time!! I might try it first on a rental truck though!!

jonarthus , i paid $1300 (installed) for the Steinbauer P-Box although it is a lot more $ than some of the other options it came with a 30 day full money back guarantee coupled with the fact that the advertised it in the local Toyota dealership ..... absolutely no problems and more than happy with the increased power 8-)

tonka, im in nz too. has your fuel consumption got any better? my supercharged commodore uses less than my hilux! ive got no add on my single cab. it makes a big difference when comparing to xtra/double cab mileage. and where did you buy it. kapai.
