Tundra's for Sale!

Postby Hilux Max on Wed, 17 Oct 2012 7:45 +0000

Melton Toyota here in Melbournes West is now selling Tundra's.

They are the dealer for Perfmax which is a Queensland Company that does the conversions to RHD.

All vehicles are "Crew Max" cabins which are the larger dual cab cabins, rear seats have recliners.

5.7 Litre I-Force V8 Petrols. Auto boxes.

Leather interiors

4x4

$125,000 driveaway.

Comes with 4 year Warranty, 120,000km which is covered by Performax and done through Melton Toyota as would be the servicing.

Anyone interested can call on (03) 8746-0300

I spoke to a bloke called Martin.

You could most likely convert a 6.2L LS3 into a hilux and get it engineered for less than that.

Yeah with our dollar the same as the U.S. dollar at the moment. They start at $25000 over there. Makes you wonder how much our government makes from the import taxes.

It won't last long. Remember back to when Ford Australia were importing and converting the LHD Mustang's?? They were asking 80 large, yes it was all factory, and factory warranty, but I can import and have a private conversion done for 50.

Agreed, looked into this sometime back using the import guy who brings in boats for me.
Depending on the year, condition etc, I was looking at between $50k and $60 for a mid 2000's model all-up, imported, converted and registered in Vic. Obviously dearer for later models.
An LS1 conversion however (into an 05 onwards) on LPG was around $13k......
Or lastly, a Raptor kit on the V6 with exhaust etc for around $9k......decisions, decisions....

You can register LHDs in the Territory. Stuff converting them, just have a VERY trustworthy passenger when overtaking a triple Roadtrain out along the Arnham Highway..... ;)

That truck with all the dudads fully loaded is 35000 max in the states. Forget that I thought you guys got screwed on the Hilux. You could build a much better car for cheaper. In fact people on here have and are doing that!
