ARB, TJM & Co are going to have their finger out trying to make components to give it a tougher look. Bullbar is going to be huge to fit that snout.

^ definitely be interesting to see what they come up with. They managed to cover the colarado so I'm sure they will do something good for this model.

It was confirmed to me to that the hilux will have a 3.5ton towing capacity. Not sure if that's been stated or not

Looking like a coil rear, retaining the drum brakes. Hopefully they fixed the brakes.

Looks like the Hilux Revo set for release in Thailand doesn't have the same alloy wheels that are on previous leaked photos.

Like the wheels in this image

Highlights

> 2.4-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel producing 112kW and up to 400Nm, and a 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel with 132kW and up to 450Nm of torque (believed to be 420Nm in manual guise and 450Nm in automatic).

> Toyota says maximum towing capacity will rise from 2.5-tonnes to 3.5-tonnes.

> Toyota will stretch its number of individual variants to 31, including a new high-riding two-wheel drive double cab, similar to the Ford Ranger Hi-Rider.

> The new model brings a considerable improvement in NVH, the diesel engines are much quieter plus there is additional coverage of sound material.

> The eighth-generation HiLux is 70mm longer, 20mm wider and features a lower roofline than the model it replaces. Inside, Rear seat passengers are afforded further comfort thanks to 35mm of extra leg room and rear air vents, making it one of the few commercial utes on the market with rear air vents. Second row passengers also get a fold down arm rest.

> New underpinnings bring more rigidity and better steering response than before, Toyota claims. A double wishbone configuration with a stabiliser bar resides at the front end, paired with a leaf spring rear armed with two shock absorbers on each side.

> buttons are used to engage the centre and rear differential lock.

So the V6 Petrol option is staying, probably a 1GR in a higher tune.

The new diesel engines aren't exactly blowing me away spec wise, will have to wait for a few years and see how they respond to a custom tune, in the meantime I'm more than happy with my 1KD.

I've yet to drive a 4wd with button 4x4 select that has actually worked well, hopefully the new Hilux sorts that
