Just checked again, it's on the boat. How long does that normally take to get here and how do I find out what boat and all that?

Hi NimrodAUS talk to your dealer you need to obtain off them a user code & password then you can look it up on Track my Toyota .com. It will not give you the ship name but you can follow its progress through the various stages. You will see the build date Vin number & engine number on that. The SR5 I ordered recently was built on ANZAC day (25 April). I placed my order on 9th may it was already on the ship when I started to track it,on 12 may it landed in the transport companies storage yard & stayed there till 25 may got to my dealer by road transport on 26 may Idrove it out the showroom doors on may 29. ( I think it is about ten days on the ship after it leaves the factory.) CHEERS. :D :D :D

My stealer told me last Monday I could get a silver or white TD SR d/c with VSC pack within 10 days.

I went in on Friday and placed my order for a Silver 2012 TD Manual, Now I just have to wait for stealer to let me know when it will arrive.

Hi
Just found this site AFTER I've ordered my new Hilux!

I ordered it on 5-5-12 and dealer said it may be as late as end of august, Does this time frame sound reasonable?

SR5 dual cab, diesel, auto, bull bar, rev camera, spotties, tub liner, tow bar for $61k.

Wish I'd found this site before I bought it but live and learn.

I have an order number but no login to the website as such?

Anything I've missed???

Thanks

Yeah I have been tracking it on there website. It's on the boat. Lists the vin number and all that. Estimated delivery date is 13th of July. You ordered in march it shouldn't have taken this long. I ordered mine in march and it's on the boat.

So how does the stock ordering work? I ordered mine in May & was told 16-20 weeks (4-5mths).
So I'm thinking I might get an MY13 update (my MY09 was built in Aug 08).
Anyhow I rang dealer today to check progress and was told mine is not scheduled for build yet, so will prob be a sept build & Oct Delivery. Since its "not scheduled" yet does that mean Toyo Aust, might be planning to fill my order with stock that has already been ordered / built? What if another dealer has ordered my colour, and is due to arrive soon, will Toyota allocate that stock to existing orders?

Just trying to understand how the dealer > toyo Aust > factory order delivery process works.

That time frame sounds the same as mine.

I ordered a Dual Cab SR at the end of February and still havent got a confirmed build date.
I was initially told May build, june delivery.
Then June build, now July build August delivery but even that isnt certain.
I have a bull bar, rear bar, snorkel, winch, long range tank and a canopy all sitting at home waiting for the car to show up.
Pretty piss poor.

Hope its worth the wait

ordered mine 16th Jan ( SR + VSC dual auto) with proposed pickup April.
STILL not in production
Cracked it with dealer a month ago and ended up phoning around.
Dealer in Geelong had what I ordered on a boat - deposit payed and cancelled local Cairns dealers order.
On transport up to Cairns now - shed full of gear just waiting to be fitted.
Can't wait.....

I rang up the dealer and said i wanted a blue sr5, he looked up on the computer and said theres a blue one on the boat ill get that. A month/6 weeks later it came in. There is no way i would be waiting so long for one to come in. There are dealers with them in stock now just ring around. I went to a dealer over 100kms away(2 dealers that are closer) just caught a train there, gave him a cheque and drove it home.

Hi fredbear Depends what color &model you have ordered, your dealer can get up to date order info every day & if the model color variant you ordered he can see if that one is going to another dealer anywhere in Aust.If the other dealer does not have that one sold & is only getting it on spec they can do a swap it happens all the time.4-5 months does seem far too long, lean on your dealer about doing a swap make em work for their commission. ;) ;) ;)
