Just to update you on all of us poor buggers that lost so much coin on the "old shape"
I just sold my 2011 sr5 d4d manual silver unmarked for $52,500.00 they would have to pay $2000.00+ stamp duty (vic).

Let's just say, there's a chance toyotas still hold their value as I believe they always will.
I enjoyed driving a new truck for 7 months for free....
Yes I bought it well.
I had a lot of interest, could have sold 3 units a week at $50k,

The price for a near new second hand hilux can't stay that way forever.. why would anyone pay more for a second hand one than a new vehicle? The price drop for the new vehicles must be taking a little while to get through to the second hand market.

It appears to me the new price hasnt filterered down yet either..... I paid $48,odd for the old 2011 so why are ppl paying 55k and more? so i can sell secondhand for 52k......

Not sure why people are paying 55 k etc i could of bought 2012 sr5 d/c 50 k driveaway in wa. therefore for everyone over east should equate to 47 k roughly

Why buy a SR5?, get a SR and spend the change on a heap gear that will make it perform and more useful.
Ive got a SR dual cab and have never been happier will amount of money saved to buy accesories that I want on it, not fancy bling.

With the savings I got an Alpine plus sub, the mags I wanted, upgraded the lights, roll over bar, post fitted cruise control and you can claim the lot on Tax !!
