Hey fellas,

It definitely helps to visit a few dealers and bat 'em off against each other !
I pick up my new 2013 SR5 T.D Dual Cab Manual ute next week (about bloody time, ordered in Nov 2012).

Metallic Paint
ARB smooth canopy with lift up windows
ARB Tradey roof racks
Safari Snorkel
All windows tinted
Tub Liner
ARB rear step/ tow bar
Bonnet protector, rubber mats
Air Con ( is this really extra cost ??)
Extended warranty to 5 years

$54000 drive away

Pretty damn happy with that but had to travel to a dealer an hour away as local dealer wanted $57500 !! Up yours i told him

I was quoted for a 2012 SR5 T/D manual $49,990 D/A. I said I want the 2013 the same price and I'll sign for it today. They agreed instantly. I ended up with a Charcoal Grey 2013 manual T/D for $49,990 D/A + extras. I also bargained with the extras. I ended up getting the reversing camera (was $400, got it free), the rust proof protection (was $995, got it $400), the tub liner ($500), the tow bar ($750), tinted windows (was $400, got it $150), genuine Toyota heavy duty floor mats (was $300, got it free), and also a full tank of fuel for free. Ended up paying $52,000 drive away in NSW. I signed that day for it, finance done that same day. Excellent quick service. I also barhained with the financial advisor and got it 6.9%. They arrived in Australia only on Thursday, just fitting the extras then will pick it up Wednesday. Was originally quoted $53,000 through Sci Fleet Toyota in Kedron QLD, then I went in to my local dealership in Murwillumbah NSW and they said they beat that price. After signing the contract and finance for $52,000 which I'm very happy with, Toyota at Tweed Heads NSW called me back and said they would've beaten that peice and given me the 2013 SR5 for $1,000 cheaper. Bummed but not worried as I already got a great deal. My friend bought a white 2011 SR5 T/D manual when they first came out and he paid $63,000 stock.

New here!
Appreciate all the advice/experience - it really helped when swimming with the sharks at the car yard pool!
Signed a contract last week in Brisbane:
White SR5 dualcab diesel Manual
2013 build & compliance
6 year/100K extended factory warranty
Rhino spray-on ute liner plus tonneau
2500 kg Towbar with wiring harness
Front & rear floor mats
Full tank of diesel
Drive away registered in Qld
51.9K

Of particular note is the extended warranty; injectors are now covered (I rang the head office to confirm!) which makes me sleep a little easier after reading some of the horror stories on here ... But I'll still be fitting a Racor filter upstream before venturing too far afield.

Good work gang. Some really good drive away prices being had considering when U jump on Carsales to look most dealers want upwards of $55k for a new SR5 T/D dual cab.. I will be looking seriously in a couple of mths for a replacement and hope to do as well. Remember if U get a good deal and really happy with the service mention the dealer for the rest of us.. :D

Great Forum. I am looking to buy Q4 2013 (after my daughter gets her P's and takes current car). Visited local dealer yesterday, told them not now, but they said 2013 SR5 TD DC Auto currently $51k drive away. Dropped by second dealer and they were at same starting price. I sent an email to Toyota Australia, as I was worried about rumoured NEW Model and got below reply within 2 hours!

Thank you for contacting the Toyota Customer Experience Centre.

With regards to your email regarding the Hilux, we can advise that there will be a technical change to the Hilux single and extra cab and double cab at the end of the year, however we cannot advise the specific details or dates of this release at this point in time.

First Dealer I went to mentioned the update, and said will be quite a lot of technical updates, maybe even Push Start like the Prado on the SR5. Toyota wants to jump ahead of competition in including lots of extras across the range which should come through on the end 2013 update.

So I will wait for this update and then pull the trigger. I have already lined up $10-15k of mods.... :D

Ordered new 13' SR5 T/D dual cab this week in charcoal. $49990 drive away no extras. Brighton Toyota. But that's what they are advertised for on TV at the moment. Was happy with trade-in price though.

Happy so far with the deal. Head back to work tomorrow for 6 weeks so hope everything goes smoothly. Hilux goes to ARB and Jax to get made into a real 4wd while I'm away and fingers crossed will be sitting on the showroom floor when I get home. Gave them the old Hilux yesterday.

I would be happy with that mate considering what I paid, as an auto option would add a couple of thousand $$ more.. I'm guessing U got a dual cab..

Sure did mate, in graphite or whatever that grey colour is called. Will pay for the rest through the company, but 50k on the loan at 5.99% makes me excited... Sound ok?

The bloke in Darwin I dealt with is awesome, anyone buying one here I can PM his details.
