I think you will find that all of the Hilux competitors are made in Thailand (with the exception of the Amarok) and they do have a tax law there that makes them cheaper in that configuration. So in order for them to remain competitive they have to be of similar specs. Don't dismiss what happens in some distant asian country as you will find that it is the largest single market for these types of utes and therefore is a significant influence on how they are configured.outbackjoe wrote:Every ute has leaves regardless of where it's made.
