How do i remove body lift?

Postby My-Lux on Thu, 19 Mar 2015 11:54 +0000

hi guys bought a 99 hilux it comes with a 2" ironman suspension lift and also a 2" body lift. To meet victorian standards you cant have anything over 2-3" so the body lift has to come out. How would i go about doing this as ive never done it before?
What things do i have to remove in order so nothing breaks??. If someone can help me out on what to do it would be much appreciated.

Cheers,

Undo bolts on one side, loosen the other side, jack the body up just enough then pull the bolt and block out. Probably need to cut the bolt aswell otherwise it will be too long just make sure you have enough thread left if you are going to do it! finger tight the side that has been removed and repeat on the other side until all blocks have been pulled out then tighten to spec.

Check if the steering shaft has an extension on it, if it does that will need to be removed prior to jacking the vehicle up then re-tighten when the blocks have been removed.
