Hello Can anyone tell me if a 98[and earlier] model bullbar can be fitted to a 2003 without too much difficulty??

I would say no for the simple fact that the fronts of the vehicles are a different shape and wouldn't match up with the lines on your bullbar

It should bolt straight up, same chassie and if you ring the bullbar designer they should be able to tell you the part numbers for both trucks
