Pre-05 Rear Bar

Hey I have been working on a tube style bumper for a friend of mine. Figured I'd share the build.
Started with some old galvanized tube.

Welded brackets and angles in.

Fabbed up some new brackets for a little better departure angle and extra strength.

Fitted the bumper on and tacked it up.

I'll be cleaning it up an painting some time this week and be sure to post it.

Finished welding cleaning and painting today although no pics of it painted. Maybe tomorrow or on installation. Here it is with the old bumper to show improved bracket angles and how badly a new bumper was needed.

You could of at least wore socks with your crocks while welding!

Haha yeah normally I am wearing jeans and boots, but I knew it was only going to be a couple of tacks. The real welding came later. You are right PPE should be worn when welding.

Raised the bumper 50mm and moved 35mm closer to improve departure angle.
