Yeah maybe but for some reason the local guy didn’t get 8mm so thought 10 was better than 6. But even with 6mm she would be a tight fit.

Ah well, i wont break them in a hurry. Maybe ill try a piece of 6mm between the tank then. It was barely any difference in price.
Do you have a photo of your mount on the rear left? Every other mount i think i have sussed.

Ill have to check mine but I seem to recall 6 or 8mm maybe on that side. Was very tight in there. I cut a small part out of the plastic cover for the fuel tank too I think to get access. Ill see if I can get a photo tomorow

Cheers for that. I have already cut a bit off the fuel tank bash plate as it got caught on the left one day.

A photo would be awesome.

Hi Guys, I know that I am dragging up an old thread. But I am currently trying to install some SCF fatboy rock-sliders to my N70 2014/2015 dual cab Hilux. And I was just wondering whether or not anyone had to move their fuel tank slightly in-order to get the rear passenger bracket to fit? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Yeah mate, sometimes sliders are hard to fit especially if you have a long range tank. I remember shift my tank a little.

Hi hiluxxury,
Thanks mate. I actually did get them installed, although it took a little bit longer than it should have. The sheer lack of any documentation didn't help. Just thought that I would give some instructions to anyone considering SCF rock sliders on a N70 Hilux.

1. Install the Drivers side first. (This seems counter-intuitive, because you would ordinarily install the harder side first. But this side dictates how far forward they can be placed.)
2. The rear drivers side bracket's bolt requires shortening, as it could potentially impact on some cabling.
3. The passengers side installation will require the removal of a clip or two.
4. I removed the fuel tank cover and loosened up the tensioning bolts holding the fuel tank in order to get some clearance for the rear bracket. I re-tightened these after install and replaced the cover.

Overall it was a relatively simple install, and they appear to be quite well made. But delivery can be a bit on the slow side.
