Just finished my side steps- sliders,
Took a few months to put together. Followed the shape of the cab.
Very pleased the way they turned out. Was going to spray them but ended up getting them powder coated.

Matt from Kinsela Kustoms is doing sliders for $500 for all model hiluxs. He does awesome work, he is currently doing a custom tray for me and turning my tub into a camper tailer, then it on to my arb sliders and brush bars to toughen them up.If you want to contact him you can PM me and I will pass on your details.

Nice job swinder but they look to be too close to the body. They'll knock and rattle as your cab moves.

Thanks for that.

I've got a 20mm gap between the sliders and the body.
When I get time I'll post a few pictures of the brackets.
It shows the clearance.

I think I see what you've done there! The bars are actually outboard of the sill huh? :) looked like they were right below when I first looked at it. Very cool.

just a quick question as i planning on making up a pair soon, how are you getting such tight radius's on the tube, the only bender i can get my hands on makes about a 200mm radius on 2" tube :(

was even thinking i might have to do a 45* cut und weld

anyone know a place in melbourne eastern suburbs that will do 4 bends for a good price?

Just buy some steam pipe bends. Your local steel shop should have them (or know where to get them) and they are cheap.

G'day Mate

The radius was around 200mm.
Its hard to explain, but what I did was cut half the radius off.

G'day mate,

You can call Gardbar which is in Bayswater. He can mandrel bend any size to any radius,

OR

Alternatively drop into an exhaust shop, they have tube benders and will be able to help you out. If you need a contact for exhaust shop, send me a PM.

Nice detail there Swindler, with the rail following the sill to gain a little extra height, good to see someone think a little differently ;) . Would have been perfect if you had splayed the front at a 45 deg angle to the horizontal ;)

Can someone please post a photo of how they have mounted their sliders on the rear passenger side near the fuel tank?

I know it's been mentioned and asked about a few times in the thread, but no pictures of how they have been mounted.

Any help appreciated, cheers.
