They are quite clean and slick, they look pro. I think I like the style of Buds more though in terms of a beastier look.
Cheers,
Jay

I'm considering those Superior sliders myself, but with the budget i'm on atm, it'd be through their layby service, not a group buy, and front bar is next on the list anyway.

just giving some feedback on some tjm side steps. after reading this thread i was pretty worried about landing too hard on my tjm side steps, as they're not actually a true rock slider. well yesterday out at a 4x4 park i slammed the car down onto my side rail, ended up having to winch out, scratched the shit out of most of the slider, but to my surprise it held up awesome, no damage to the bottom of the car, rail didnt bend, stoked! maybe i got lucky, but i honestly can't imagine coming down on it harder than i did yesterday out in the bush, stupid moment on my behalf yesterday for not checking the drop off before hand.

Wouldn't mind any rock-sliders at this stage, just need to wait on more money. There's a group buy proposed on bud's sliders in the group buy idea thread too.

Jay

Hi Guys

I'm after some sliders. Would like to do my own but since I will have to buy hole length of rhs and pipe etc it will cost me close to $300 plus another 50 for band aids

I'm after nothing fancy, don't need checker plate or any infills. Does anybody know where I could get some unpainted once for maybe max $500

Also in case I will go DIY, has anyone the measurements for the brackets?

Cheers Manny

One of the old members on here would do the kit for $350, you just had to weld it all together:

Havn't seen anything posted from him lately though, but he might still recieve email notifications if you sent him a PM?

They are by far the best looking and possibly the strongest design available thus the $1,155 price tag.

I have already found 2 people interested in a set and I am trying to round up more and do a group buy.

Let me know who's keen...

Here is a link to the pics.

I was looking at these but 2 weeks ago but also remembered boys from here who were copping sill damage due to sliders which are too close to the panel flexing during big drops/impacts, so was bit cautious with this set.

Thanks , I was looking for that. Couldn't remember where I saw it. Did send him a pm, hopefully I will be lucky.

Do the original side steps give any protection at all or can I as well just take them off and go without anything at the moment?

Cheers Manny

About as much protection you'll get from the standards.. they bend easier than tin foil out in the bush.

Let us know if he responds. 8-)

I got in contact with Iihuntandifish and he would make one of his slider kits for me. Only problem is he doesn't know if the brackets for his xtra cab will fit on the dual cab. Does somebody know about that. Is the chassis for them the same even they got a different cab?

Awesome! For $350? Do you need to weld them yourself or will it come complete?
I might get a set off him too, wonder if he'd throw in an extra inner piece or two and match the style of buds?

Can't say on the chassis, I'd think the only difference was the length, but I could be wrong.
Cheers,
Jay

I will weld them myself, well my dad in law will weld and paint  guess it will be maybe a bit more because the slider needs to be longer. For extra parts I guess it will be best to talk to him.

If you don't have the option to weld you can check mine and if you are happy with the work He could do it for a couple of bucks.
