Fitting 2015 or 2017 rear bar and side steps to 2010

Postby anfpez on Tue, 24 Jul 2018 10:00 +0000

Hi all

Just wondering if anyone would be able to help out.

I have got a 2010 SR5 dual cab and would like to put on new side steps and rear step bar.

Does anyone know if 2017 or 2015 factory parts would fit my 2010

Thanks

2015 should as they are basically the same car, not sure about 2017. There should stull be heaps of 2--5-2015 stuff around, mots people removed the factory side steps and rear bar as they are about as robust as paper!

Agree, my 2017 rear bar/steps dented very easily. If your 2010 is a road car or soft off road go for it, should be able to pick some up cheap.

Thanks for the replies

My 2010 is road and soft off-road

I just found some on gumtree for cheap but wasn’t sure If they would fit.

I can get side steps plus rear bar for about $200 all up

Taken off a 2015 when new

There’s also a cheaps set from a 2017 but by the sounds of it might not fit

Appreciate the help
Cheers guys

Just make sure it is a 2015 model, not the later 2016 model made from about 6/15.

Cool, $200 sounds fair and would be a nice fix-up

I’ve just checked and The set I found are from a late 2015
So it looks like these ones won’t fit either

But they would definitely be a nice fix up

With the side steps make sure you buy SR5 ones if you want SR5, SR look the same but are narrower. Still fit but not as per original.

Here are some on Gumtree:

As before, just watch out for bent ones, they bend very easily. The last two pairs look mint though.

Here are some rear bars almost perfect:
