Hi guys

just wondering all of you that had to cut the factory bumper... did any of you not actually cut it and just bot the bar straight up?

what does it look like with out the bumper?



im still undecided if i want to go with a brand that you have to cut the factory bumper or go a brand that is full bumper delete

If the instructions want you to cut it then you wont have much choice. There are a few bars fot that model that dont require the bar to be cut, instead they have there own rubber or plastic infills that sit under the headlights.

Either way you will probably dispose of the old bumper anyway.
One disadvantage I have found with the bar I have that replaced the bumper is that the grille isn't removable with the bar in place, only a problem if you want to fit anything behind the grille.

my ironman bumper replacement bullbar came with an infill panel in the engine bay. I removed this to get behind the grill to install a new horn.

is ARB the only vendor that have the infills that you say?

Couldn't tell ya what brands exactly but have definitely seen others, I just know what I fit.

Yes! Like my grill that is cracked in several places and rattling and can't swap out without dropping the bar

Mines an ocam which I think is a knock off Ironman. Fully removed (and sold for $50) the bumper, it has plastic inserts under the headlights. And I can take the grill out no problem with the bar in situ.

they look pretty good! how difficult was it to install?

Hey krayzie. I managed it on my own but would recommend a second pair of hands. No instructions but easy enough to work out. Some of the hardware was incorrect or missing - eg no bolts for the plastic eyebrows, wrong size bolt supplied for front subframe also mud plates on the bottom needed modifying a little, I reckon they sent me the non winch splash plates, so didn't fit quite right. Pretty minor stuff IMO, I would buy and do it again, with a mate next time.
