Gen 8 / N80 Tub fit on Gen 7 / N70

Anyone here know if its possible to fit the new Gen 8 Tub to a Gen 7 2011? Are the bolt holes the same?

Hey just wondering if anyone has fitted a new model 2016 tub to an older model 2006 hilux sr..
The front mounts are only just out and won't take much to move.. But the back 4 mounts look like they need to be lifted roughly 40mm only other thing that's worrying me is the space between front of rear tires and front of tub arch seems pretty tight..

I sold my old tray (of 09 dual cab) to a mate with a new SR (16 model) He said that the front mounts were the same, the rear 4 bolts were slightly different. I didn't see how he mounted so I don't have the exact info. He said it was close though

I have a dual cab witha split tub
Been trying to get a hold of a 2nd hand one but people just want so much for them

I see the new 2016 tubs online for 300!! And in brand new condition mainly becuase of the fact they swap to tray right away

But yeah 300 dual cab tub. Anyone know if the bolt holes are same as previous models

Or is the chassis from the back end just completely different

In correct category anyway.and also had incorrect year of tub. Should have been 2016 . I did search the forum

will a 2016 model dual cab tub fit onto a 2005 model dual cab? ive heard the 2005 will only fit up to and including 2014.

Roger, I've seen a few topics on this pop up is all. Mines 2011 and I just had a Buffalo tray fitted, they said that should I get a new dual cab lux it will drop straight on so I'm assuming the mounts must be the same if not very close, as for the tub I guess it would be the lines/styling difference and fuel filler differences (if any) that might be the problem.

I think someone mentioned they new one might be slightly wider which would look odd

Any reason for wanting the new tub over one from the same gen or is it all that's available?
