Difference between Pre & Post Facelift Bullbar

Postby Jacko9 on Thu, 14 May 2015 5:25 +0000

Hi all

I am wondering are there significant differences between the pre face lift model Hilux (pre2012) and the post facelift models? The reason I ask, is I have a chance to purchase a pre face lift model bullbar really cheaply, but I don't know if it can be made to fit.

Regards,
Jackson

It will work, the infills are different sizes. Someone on n70 Facebook made it work on his hilux I think it was a 2013 with a 2011 preface lift toyota bar. I think your biggest issue would be if it complies with ADR. Although the only difference between the 2 shapes is the front bar all the mounting fixtures are the same.

Thanks mate, it is a Tuff Bar, so I might email them and see if they have just continued the same shape or changed it. Hopefully they have not altered the design once the bumper has been cut.
