Minimum Single Cab Tray Length

Whats the shortest length tray you can put on a single cab? I know standard length is 2400 or 2550, would the minimum length just be level with the tow bar?

200-300 shorter than standard would be the go, unless you wanted to trim the chassis ends

What's the legality with trimming the chassis? Need to be engineered?

What's the measurement from the rear of the cab to the rear of the chassis?

Just had a quick measure, its roughly 2450 from the cab to the rear of the female tow hitch, but theres about 50-100mm cavity between the cab and the headboard so it all depends.

To the end of the chassis it would be maybe 150-200mm shorter but you would be stupid not to run a towbar or some sort of tow point at the back to protect from drop offs etc.

Haven't actually got a single cab yet, got a dual cab SR5 I'm thinking about selling to buy a single cab, plan to put a dog box at the back and still have room for a quad bike as well, just trying to figure out some dimensions...
