ARB winch bar....functional,look OK,easy to bolt things on to.Good protection for suburban car parks, saplings and small animal strikes. There are tougher bars manufactured in Western Queensland that offer greater protection for Roo strikes, but you have to make allowances on the approach angles off roadImage

ARB sahara bar was the best out when i was lookin for a bar.
Bloody strong (although bloody heavy), OK approach angle, plenty room to mount winch, lights etc.
Looks great.
If the buds bar ever gets off the ground that would be my pic for better approach angle or the Asfir if any one ever finds a way to import them for under a million a bar

Both mate, very light impact but a fair bit weight was all it took to deform it. I have hit a roo in the past but it was a small roo and it was a deflecting hit. Don't even want to know what could have happened if it was a full grown red roo :(

Anyways I have made my choice colour coded Sahara Winch Bar 58kg + winch weight. Fitted on next Tuesday :D (how freakn fast is that  ) The other bars are about 70-80kg  no problem really but when you carry the constant weight I carry it's too heavy.

Bullbar Photos and set ups

Just curious why so many blokes like look of black bully's? I think it makes a lux look old and agricultural/basic , but I'm well aware my taste / opinion is the minority !

I love silver , chrome (obviously scratching becomes issue on lightweight chrome work).

Been meaning to ask this question for a while. I just don't get black ! (same with rims, and other bar work)

I love the black and silver look, but gotta say I do love the white luxes with colour coded bullbars. Mind you on my new Sahara bar Im getting it colour coated silver as the my lux is silver, but in saying that my mates rodeo has a black bull bar, side steps, roof rack, rims and door trims I recon it looks mint. Half the reason why I'm getting the bar same as body colour is that my ute would look to much like my mates rodeo on our videos

Every man for himself, I like bits of both worlds 8-) but no really keen on the Chrome look, unless it's an old hot rod or a classic GT falcon 8-)

yeah it's definately horse for course and im well aware im the minority!

I just for some reason really rate colour coded bullys, silver bullys, or chrome bullys ... black just looks dated / basic / mining / ag for some reason.

But ive had many mates ask me when am i getting a black bullbar. Im like, umm never??? (granted, the toyota chrome ally bully is weak, when i eventually break it, ill get a proper steel bully ... white or silver, and probably glossy)

Black is good (read functional and practical), easier to touch up when you run the bullbar through an earth embankment, side swipe the sliders/bullbar on an embankment, tangle with a tree, drag the rear bar through a deep rut, etc. I have found that high temperature black paint (sold in a pressure pack can) is an exact match to black powder coat. ;)

Colour coding does look good (some colours more so than others), but how does it look after being beaten up for a while?

just my opinion ;)
Cheers Rod

can't we like both?

when I do get a bar, it'll prob be black. I can always paint / plasti-dip it white (vehicle is white)
