Not bad for the price but for a couple hundred more you could get better.
Mine has pulled me and others out i rekon at least 30 times in the past 3 years and is still running so can't really complain.
I service it at least once a year and always spray a shit load of lanolin on the connecters as they are quite exposed.
It is a slow winch.
Have had it get very hot but never smoke or stop ;)
The solenoid box is very well sealed.
The gear lever is really dicky and takes a bit to get in and out of gear, but wouldn't be hard to fix.

Mine is the 9500 Monster winch, not sure if they are still these or different.

When time comes to get a new winch i will get better quality.. prob tigers11 or Mako

Hope that helps :)

Check the sponsors area from the home page, under 4wdsupplies ;)

I have the ironman winch, bout a yr old now. Been used extensively and I am very happy with it. Is now due to be serviced and had a slight issue last trip out which i think servicing will resolve. Either that or a new isolator as the supplied one is a bit dicky.

When/if it fails i will be looking at a tigerz most likely though.
i know it's not a hilux but really.....WHO CARES!! We're all here for the same reason :D

yeah the isolater switch is a pain in the #$@. I scraped it and am just wired direct to battery. Don't see the point of the isolater switch as theres no way thieves / vandles could get to my solenoid box to hotwire it as its behind/inside the bar.
