its funny when i went to one nut and bolt shop and got 4 16mm bolts, nylex nuts, washers and 4 nuts and bolt for the front angle section. Went to another nut and bolt shop after i needed the 2 other bolts for across the top of the chassis and can you believe they cost more than all the other bolts, i think they stung me over $20 for the 2 bolts, if it wasnt friday arvo and i knew the other shop would still be open i would have told them to shove it. oh well i wont go back to that shop again.

here you are mate...i made up a plate that extends from the slider and picks up the crossmember bolts, theres also a piece of RHS from the slider to the chassis to give the plate some strength...havent had them flex even the slightest bit yet

45 at front and 90 at rear i think...but my pipe bender has a very large radius so it doesnt look like these angles once cut to where i wanted them to sit

definitely overkill. 3mm maximum is all you need. i made mine out of 70x50 RHS and 50mmx2.8mm pipe

here are the final pics of my sliders:

where they join the bash plate mount (cassis rail)
Image

We used 3.2mm heavy guage steel pipe (1.6 is piss weak, 5mm is overkill) car stands, two car jacks, a level and a tape measure. this way we were able to get it right where i wanted it 30mm below the door while opened, so if a massive hit should it bend it still wouldnt faul on the door. will post a few more picks as soon as my photobucket stops crapping it self

hope this helps
