Has anyone had dificulty with installing the rear bracket on the passengers side due to the fuel tank

What have you done to fit the bracket

I think ill have to use 8mm steal plate and maybe bracket over the top of the chassis. Iv been trying to use the standard holes in the chassis at the moment but i dont think this will be possible on this bracket.

Well iv finished so i thought id post up what i ended creating.

Hey just an update just in case people didn't believe me that i actually made two sliders as by the looks of my posts i only took pictures of only one side.





I actually took them off so i can get them powder coated as the paint job didnt stand up to the sand blasting they got when i went to the beach last.

I also am getting them textured coated so they arnt slippery when wet.

( I wasnt really worried )

Any chance of some underbody pictures please. Just wanting to see how and where you have mounted around the chassis rails. Looking at adapting something similar to my single cab with infil sections to keep all the road grime and stone chips off the paint work.

like rodw design the rear step out or wedge design is good to try to steer a trailing rear end of the truck off trees a rocks. never understood them until i had em on my last troll. some good ideas you have come up with hear fellas.

Thise brooksy sliders are excellent but unfortunately he is not doing them at the moment. Too many other jobs on the run.

Hopefully he gets back to them soon. maybe we need to get him a coupla orders.

Hey Squid,

Im not too sure if any pics would be very helpful as i dont think they'll show much, I used pretty much where Dluxv6 used. All you really need to look for is an acceptable hole in the chassis and mount it there that way you can get some decent bolts through the chassis.

But if you still need pic Ill get some in the light. Just let me know.

brooksy didnt put any bolts through the chassis to mount the ones that we've got..

the bolts go on top of the chassis rails close to the floor and squeeze the entire bracket right around the rail.. if that makes sense...

Diego, is you're main rail that sits under the cab 50x25 RHS? I think it makes sense now how uve got it mounted underneath

Oh ok I see where you're coming from Steve. Suppose having the bolt on top would be better then through because if you land on it hard the worst it can do is lift the bolt above the chassis rail rather then shock loading it and possibly creating a weak spot where it ran through the chassis rail.

Did brooksy do the same as Diego with a bit of angle up the front near the gearbox crossmember?

no.. brooksy did three mounts on each side, but then used extra strengthening sleeve tubing inside the inner tube for more strength.. (plus all the tube is CAM spec too).. so pretty solid !

Hey Luke i used 50 x 75 mm RHS on mine. I wouldn't worry about shock loading the chassis as the clamp around the chassis isnt going to let the bolt smash the top of the hole.

I did end up using brooksy's method on the pass anger rear due to the fuel tank being the the way and i also used a thinner bracket, you may be able to see the pictures, as i was trying to get as far to the back as possible, as i couldn't use the inner strengthening like brooksy did.

Thats ok. In my case my slider wont be as long as everyone elses being a single cab. I should be able to get away with two brackets. Just want to make sure thats enough to support the vehicle to jack off and to land on hard without snapping or coming up and saying hello to the cab. No fuel tank issue in my case

yes 2 x 12mm on each u-section with nylocks and washers..
