Exterior door handle removal

Hi,

I'm taking my door handles off to paint them in plastidip. Ive undone the two torque screws on the inside but I can't get the handle out. Is there any tricks to this?

they do come out in two pieces there is a bit of wiggling involved to get the first smaller piece out after u get that out u just slide the remaining piece out in the direction of smaller piece

Pretty sure they slide towards the lock. So you will have to make sure the lock screws are removed too
