building a tray steel sizing (thickness)

my idea is to build "deck" to shape and size i want
purchase under tray drawer unit
mount it under tray
take tub off ute
build tray mounts so that drawer has minimal clearance to all chassis components
then do something similar to bushound

based on packeteer im going to build it to the "right" height then, i think it will end up roughly 220mm above rails from rough calculations
tyres will probably be no bigger than 265-70/17 or maybe 275-65/17 (price /availability dependant)
