2.7L petrol - Chugging/lawnmower sounds
Posted: Tue, 06 Jun 2017 5:40 +0000I recently had my 2002 2.7L petrol serviced and it came back completely fine. Then went on a beach drive on bribie island and washed my car when arriving home. As i have done many times before I give the engine bay a quick clean with a shower of water, barely any pressure.
The next day for work 6:00am relatively cold start, engine sounded fine/normal. After a few K's it started to make a lawnmower/chugging sound and the whole car started shaking as if it was going to stall. It did so for a couple of K's but then it soon starting getting better and better. So I thought it had sorted itself out. Not being mechanically minded I didn't think of anything.
Its been 2 days and The chugging sound is better, there is less. ONLY when accelerating 90kph -110.
What could be the issue? possibly water got in somewhere? something is clogged?
