timing gear case removal

Postby alexander on Mon, 04 Apr 2016 11:06 +0000

hey,

I had my timing idler pulley let go the other day. in the process its minced the timing cover. the motor runs fine as I noticed the noise before the pulley fully detached.

does anyone know if the sump has to be removed before removing the timing backing case? i'd like to be able to take the case out and leave the sump in situ to avoid removing the diff and sump.

any help would be appreciated.
