2011 SR5 V6 auto mods

Postby HK1837 on Thu, 21 May 2015 3:20 +0000

I just ran the Hilux up on the dyno today after the Bullet Ultimate exhaust and XEDE dual map processor was installed.

I ran it on the same dyno before the mods as well.

I'd like to put up the dyno charts showing the before and after but there is no j-peg attachment function :(

OK, I don't use any of those sites. I'll try and put pictures up in my shed but the images need reducing significantly to be very small in size so probably won't be readable.

OK, I stuck reduced sized jpegs in my profile.

Can someone please move this to the POST 2005 Hilux area - my stuffup - sorry!

The first dyno chart shows:

The Hilux as original except with 265/65/17 tyres. Fuel was BP98.
The Hilux with the Bullet (Beaudesert) Ultimate exhaust and Chiptorque XEDE processor running on Shell 98 with "high" tune map.

The second chart shows Shell 98 and high map vs E10 and "low" map.

Engine speed is approximation but appeared reasonably close when we quickly checked the speedo and tacho.

On high tune and 98 fuel rear wheel torque sits nicely between 425 and 475nM between under 2000rpm (this doesn't show on the printout but it was on the dyno) and 4700rpm. It kept powering into the rev limiter, which is where power starts to fall off.

You can see there are useable gains in using 98 and high tune but for everyday driving the gains on E10 and low tune are significant.

Next step (maybe) a TRD blower top end.
