Sr5 trip computer into sr hilux

yes i know this is an on going topic ive read all posts on here about them... but im asking if i need a surround or something from the sr5 as the trip computer doesnt line the original screw holes up.
if anyone has any info would be much appreciated and pics if i have to mod anything.

Yes the little surround piece is different from the non-trip computer clock surround.

so in the sr5 there will be a surround i can get or do i have to get a section of the dash?

Don't quite follow you there, but essentially the trip computer screws onto a plastic surround, and then the whole assembly is screwed in above the radio, a bit fiddly but somewhat accessable without having to remove the entire dash.

most times when you buy the trip computer 2nd hand it comes with the surround already.
