single keyway in 2.8 3l crank instead of 2x woodruff key

anyone ever removed the 2 woodruff key (r10 x 6mm) and replace it with a 6x10mm key running the full length of the crank shaft?

nope. But i reckon nissan wished they had 2 on the 3litre patrol motor. i pulled a crank out of one at work. Key way sheered off. fig the crank and the pulley

That's the only down side I see is that when it goes there's next to no repairing it
But I'm hine site it should go like they do now as it will have full coverage on the balance and held in by the timing gear to stop it shearing
