2.8 3l balancer woodruff key and keyway flogged out

woodruff key and keyway flogged out on crank shaft

don't really want to remove crank and weld up,
looking to liquid metal fill the crank,
and possible roll pin or pin the ballancer to the timing belt pulley

the only con i see in pinning is if it goes it takes out the belt and can cause internal issues
+ i need to mod the timing belt cover to change out belt latter as pulley won't come off unless it want to,

and other suggestions or what have you done

Scotch keying? Assuming this is a really rough job?
Drill and tap a hole axially down the length of the shaft where the inner and outer diameters meet (crank and harmonic balancer). Tap it with the appropriate sized bolt. ie Drill a 5mm hole and tap down to full depth with a M6x 1.0 tap. Then using a correctly lengthened bolt that will not bottom out at the end of the hole screw in. The bolt becomes the woodruff key. ;)

Looking at the front of the motor.
This is an agricultural way of doing it and you will have trouble if either material is much softer than the other as the drill will want to wander into the softer material along with the tap.

If the head of the bolt is an issue with clearance you could also use a grub screw along with some high strength Loctite.

It will work for a short time. The old man used to call it a scotch key.

Short term is all I need
I was also looking at maybe extending the key to join up both and right to the end as the bolt will hold the key

I still have to drill out bolt that hold the balancer on as it snapped in there
So I have some work on my hands

It a pity you can't order the balancer has a m6 fit and not a h7
As when the shaft is warn a bit it would fit better
